Toowoomba West Special School aims to provide a supportive learning environment where individual students achieve educational outcomes to assist them in their transition to their secondary education and, ultimately, their post school life.
Our main campus is located at 26 Gladstone Street and provides specialist education and support services for students from Prep to Year 6 who have an Intellectual Disability and may also have physical, visual, hearing impairments or autism spectrum disorder.
An early childhood developmental program is co-located at our site. This facility, Toowoomba West Early Childhood Development Program (TWECDP), is located on our grounds (next to the Kath Dickson Child Care Centre on the corner of Gladstone and Bridge Streets). It is managed by our school’s administration staff but operates as a separate entity – under Early Childhood Development Program guidelines.
